Post Picnic Holiday Party

Holiday Party - Dec. 3

Saturday evening, Dec. 3, Post 1758 hosted its annual holiday party at 18 North Grill in Fishkill for post members and their guests. The night featured good food and fellowship, and raffles for some wine, poinsettia plants and gift cards.

In the course of the evening, Commander Jim Reynolds announced that the post had ordered a plaque for Tom Masch who, despite being employed full-time, goes above and beyond to participate in post activities, as well as doing other things for veterans, such as procuring and distributing electric scooters for veterans in need of them. Thanks for all you do,Tom! Unfortunately, the plaque was not ready for presentation as planned. Also, John Call, Kevin Hines, Bill Kriebel and Joe Ryan received "milestone" certificates for continuous membership in the American Legion.

Post members attending were Don Burns, John Call, Norm Dauerer, George Dickman, Conrad Gagnon, Dona Greenwood, Kevin Hines, Bill Kriebel, Jay Livermore, John Lyons, Tom Masch, Dan Oberhauser, John Polasko, Commander Jim Reynolds, Joe Ryan, Karl Sokol, Bob Spinillo and Claude Wuytack. Dan Briscoe and Hal Brilliant were planning to attend but did not due to illness.

Post Picnic - Aug. 6

;

Bill Meyer and John Polasko organized the picnic this year, and they did a great job. John invited Jennie Angel, a singer/songwriter, to provide entertainment. She was a big hit and a great time was had by all.
