Saturday, Dec. 9, was the date for our post's annual holiday party. Members and guests gathered at 5:00 p.m. at the 18 North Grill in Fishkill for an evening of good food and great comradery. Commander Jim Reynolds presented a slide show of events from the past year, and a raffle produced some nice prizes for a few lucky guests. A great time was had by all.

After a busy week, we all got together for breakfast at the Whortlekill Rod and Gun club. But the week wasn't over just yet. After the repast, we went back to Main Street to pick up the flags we'd placed there the day before.

Saturday, Aug. 5 was a perfect day for our annual post picnic. Festivities began at noon with hamburgers and hot dogs provided by the post, and many other dishes brought by post members. After we all had plenty to eat, Commander Reynolds presented special recognition plaques to Tom Masch, Bill Meyer and John Polasko for their many contributions to the post. A good time was had by all.

At the April 11 post meeting, Commander Jim Reynolds presented members John McMahon and Claude Wuytack with certificates from national headquarters recognizing their continued membership of fifty years in the American Legion. The post provided a cake commemorating the event, for all in attendance to enjoy.
