Welcome to the Manny Bacon Post 1758, Department of New York, of the American Legion. We normally meet the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm, but check our calendar for changes.We do not currently have a physical home. We normally meet at the East Fishkill Community Center located at 890 New York State Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. We also occasionally meet at Town Hall located at 330 Route 376, Hopewell Junction, NY, 12533.
Since our charter in 1949, our post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble.
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, war-time veterans organization, devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is a not-for-profit community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members, men and women, in nearly 15,000 American Legion posts worldwide.
