Obituary
HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Robert J. (Bob) Logan, 74, a resident of Hopewell Junction for the past 7 years, died on December 6, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He previously lived at Hudson House in Ardsley-on-Hudson where he was the Building Superintendent for 36 years until his retirement in 2012.
Born in Long Branch, NJ on June 27, 1945, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Marion G. (Pasewark) Logan. On November 24, 1971 in Neptune, NJ, Bob married Carol (Rabb) Logan who survives him at home. He is also survived by his children and their spouses, Stephanie and James Gray of Holmes and Craig and Jill Logan of Dobbs Ferry; his grandchildren, Isaac and Kennedy Gray and Lucy and Hannah Logan; his siblings, Michael Logan and Lynn Meyerson and her husband Tim; his mother-in-law, Gertrude Rabb; his brother-in-law, Hugh “Chuck” Porter; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his sister, Carole Porter.
He served in the US Army and was a member of the Manny Bacon Post of the American Legion. Bob was a past member of Conqueror Hook & Ladder in Tarrytown. He was a member of Hopewell Hose Fire Company #1 of the East Fishkill Fire Department, where he also served with the Fire Police. He volunteered for the Dutchess County Office for the Aging’s Meals on Wheels program.
Friends are invited to join the family on Wednesday, December 11th at Mill Creek Caterers, 17 Route 376, Hopewell Junction where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM followed by military honors.

Gene was interred at St. Denis Cemetery on August 2. Rest In Peace Comrade.
William Bruno De Matte (December 9, 1942 - September 20, 2019)
Obituary
William Bruno De Matte, a long-time resident of Poughquag, NY, passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Hospital, Poughkeepsie at the age of 76.Born in the Bronx on December 9, 1942, he was the son of Carlo and Luella (Miglietta) De Matte. Graduating from Evander Childs High School in 1960, he joined the US Navy in 1964 and was discharged in 1968. On May 13, 1967 he married Stephanie Werner in St. Dominic’s Church in the Bronx.
Bill was an electrician for the security system company, ADT, out of White Plains. He loved hunting and fishing, the Yankees and the Giants, was a member of St. John’s Church, and was an avid supporter of Respect Life.
Bill is survived by his wife, Stephanie; his son William and his wife Melanie of Colorado Springs, CO; his daughter, Donna De Matte of Chelsea, MA; his granddaughter, Ashley Lugo, of Chelsea, and grandson, Gabriel De Matte of Colorado Springs; his older sister Frances Tucker and husband Edward of Salem, SC; nephew Charles Tucker and wife Katie of Greer, SC, nephew Douglas Tucker and wife Susan of Mukwonago, WI, and niece Lynda Walsh and husband Bryan of Reading, MA; his younger sister Margaret Rauschenbach and husband Peter of Parker, CO, niece Tina Spiliotis and husband John of Centennial, CO, and nephew Eric Rauschenbach of Poughquag, NY; and many cousins and friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Horn & Thomes, Inc. Funeral Home, 83 East Main Street, Pawling, Friday, September 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM at St. John’s Church, 39 East Main Street, Pawling, NY. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
